The Famous Grouse Brand
The Famous Grouse has always believed that if you focus on doing something well, fame will find you. This is a philosophy that’s been at the heart of our business since 1800 and a philosophy that we are proud to share with Scotland’s future entrepreneurs at The Famous Grouse Ideas Centre.
The Famous Grouse founder, Matthew Gloag, sought out the employees and suppliers with the perfect blend of skills and expertise. And it was these people who came together in Perth to create the Grouse brand.
His vision was simple: to create the best quality blended whisky. Over time, his brand grew in popularity and was eventually renamed “The Famous Grouse”.
Things have evolved of course, but our guiding principles, our Four Fundamentals, and our way of doing business remain the same. We still bring together the finest grains, pure Scottish water and carefully seasoned sherry and bourbon casks to create our uniquely rich, rounded and sweet whisky.
Edrington is proud to partner with The Famous Grouse Ideas Centre to help find Scotland’s next Famous success story.
We are delighted to have the support of The Famous Grouse to deliver The Famous Grouse Ideas Centre.
Having its origins in Perth we are delighted to be associated with such a successful and well recognised global brand. The origins of the brand can be traced to Perth entrepreneur – Matthew Gloag – who created the Famous Grouse blend in Perth in 1896, with the history of the business dating from 1800.
